Of the IIGS units, the first fifty thousand were Woz signature
edition boxes (having Steve Wozniak's signature on the box).

The only really rare models are the Apple I, the Apple II,
and the Apple IIc Plus.  However, of these, the Apple
IIc Plus is very very rare outside the USA because Apple
never sold it there.  The IIc Plus rightly commands a
premium in other countries (Europe, Asia, even Canada).

While there are only 50,000 Woz signature edition IIGS
units, the fact that they originally had "flawed" ROMs
and graphics chips means that they are less desirable
than the later IIGS units to many people, so Woz IIGS
units can't really be considered collectable even if they
are passed off this way (understandably so) on eBay.
The problem with Woz IIGS units is this: they do not
represent the Apple IIGS that well.  When you collect
a rare Apple IIc Plus, you can be sure it represents the
IIc Plus line.  When you collect an Apple I, you can be
sure it represents an Apple I.  But the Woz IIGS does
not represent the IIGS unless they were fixed by
replacing the ROM and graphics chips.  You cannot
run most IIGS software on an original Woz IIGS without
replacing those chips.
