Genie was good, after you learned your way around (it was more difficult than
the intutive CompuServe). Most people used "Gem," an elaborate macro program,
which I never used. In my opinion it was never the same after the departure of
Chet Day, and a little later, Tom Weishaar. Never one to toe anyone else's
line, I'll take an independent board like csa2 any day. The web is the best
thing to ever happen to the Apple II, where every one has a voice, the means,
and the right to display their talent and wares on their own terms, in the way
they see fit.
