Yes; Genie was pretty much _the_ Apple II place on-line once the BBS era
ended. Used to read the ads in Apple II mags and even considered joining. The
thought of being charged for time connected (at 2400 baud!) always put a
damper on that idea.
Sorry to hear that it might fold. Maybe Apple should consider buying
Genie and getting into the on-line service business.
