     Not the IIgs /RAM5 RAM disk. I'm pretty sure that "/RAM" refers to the small
RAM disk you can carve out in Aux memory.

     We've been set up with an 800k /RAM5 RAM disk for several years. You get used
to having it at Slot 5, Drive 2. It's very fast and turns out to be much more useful
than the second 3.5" disk drive.


     Some things that are nice to know about /RAM5 include ...

o- While it starts up ready to use as a ProDOS volume, it does not have the boot
code. (So, it or a disk copy would not be bootable.)  Initializing /RAM5 or disk
copying a bootable disk to /RAM5 adds the boot code.

o- Copy II Plus v9.x does not correctly handle /RAM5. (If you use Copy II Plus v9.x,
avoid any operations involving /RAM5.)

o- /RAM5 contents usually survive a system reboot.
