Re: SCSI HD - First Class Peripherals
Awwright - This SASI Sider booted on first try!! It comes up with a
short menu and I'm not sure what to try next. It's been 15 years
since I programmed a ][, so I'm learning all over. All tips
appreciated, especially the 'obvious' ones.
1) LCS
2) CAT
3) SIDER SUPPORT UTILITIES
When I try (1), the screen goes black and thats all folks. What is
LCS?
For (2), Drive 0 goes whir-whir-whir like when doing a CAT (aka DIR?),
but no listing appears and it goes back to the menu. DOS 3.3 boot
disk in Drive 0.
Number (3) asks for the utility partition number and I've tried 0-3,
they all go back to the menu. 0 and 1 take a moment to respond,
so I think these are the valid drive partitions. (2 & 3 come back
immediately.)
Looks like the menu comes from EPROM, so maybe each partition's
data has expired over time. Listening to the HD it seems to do
it's power-on sequence fine, and the HD LED flashes very
appropriately upon each selection.
