The Universal Disk Controller chip. Without it, the Laser
won't be able to use 3.5 drives. I didn't know there were
two Laser 128 units until Jeff Blakeney wrote that he had
one that could not use 3.5 drives while my Laser manual
(which covers 128, 128EX, and 128EX2) says it should.
Then I saw old advertisements for Laser 128 plus
expansion case plus UDC card in expansion case just
to run 3.5 drives and saw that the case of the older 128
was different.
