The 6501 was pulled due to legal action by Motorola.

Rockwell made some interesting 65xx CPU chips:

R65C02	R65C102	R65C112	The 102 has a quatrature clock phi4 like the 6809's Q.

R65C00/21 and R65C29	Dual enhanced R6502 in one package
