How many 3.5 drives do you have on your IIGS? You'll
need one connected to the IIGS drive port for booting
and if you want to use real 720k PC disks you'll need
a second 3.5 drive connected to the PCT. The drive
itself is not a special drive, just an Apple drive. But it
needs to be connected directly to the PCT to read and
write MS-DOS disks. You do, however, need another
drive connected directly to the IIGS drive port because
the PCT cannot boot the IIGS from a disk.

If you have only a single 3.5 drive, you can use the
PCT by running MS-DOS programs on disk images
rather than real disks. There is a version of the PCT
software disk on the ground ftp server which, besides
the Apple software for the emulator, has an MS-DOS
boot disk image on board. You simply get this Apple
disk and unpack it. When you boot it, it'll then boot
the PCT with the MS-DOS disk image that's on the
disk.
