The history of Apple II mouse based paint programs
begins in 1984 with the release of MousePaint, a
MacPaint port to the IIe.
The truly great paint programs came with the release
of the IIGS:
8/16 Paint (one version for the IIe and one for the GS)
TopDraw (draw program)
AppleWorks GS (integrated with draw/paint)
DeluxePaint II (paint)
PaintWorks Gold (paint)
Platinum Paint (full featured paint)
DreamGraphix (3200 color paint)
HyperStudio (hypermedia w/paint module)
HyperCard (hypermedia w/paint module)
For 2D animation:
FantaVision
For 3D modeling and animation:
Animasia 3D (model 3D shape then move
it along with other shapes through virtual
3D space with various cameras and lighting
over a timeline to create 3D movies)
Raytracing:
It might surprise your professor that POV-Ray
has been ported to the IIGS to run under the
GNO/ME Unix like environment.
