No it is just becasue it is set to not interogate the drives just mounts the
icon until you request it look at the drive.. I set my system this way and I
think most do because it 'rattles' the drive a few time on start up looking
at what is in these and it get annoying. the preference for this is in the
last menu ... it is so lopng since I changed I cannot remember exactly ... so
do not worry about it
