The only thing I found annoying was Apple's StyleWriter driver was buggy.
I'd get weird gaps appearing for no reason when I use characters like @ or use
all caps on some words. I understand that there was a third party driver written
by someone, (Burger Bill?) or at least it was worked on. I don't know if it was
ever finished or how much better it worked.
