Sorry, it won't work. Even though they use the same type of connector the
IIc and the IIgs have very different signals on the pins. The IIgs has RGB
video,sync,sound,composite video and power (-5V and +12V). The IIc has 'raw'
signals more like the auxilliary slot in the IIe which are designed to be
feed into an adaptor like an RGB converter or video modulator. Some of the
pins are probably the same (like the power and sound,but I haven't checked
this,so don't plug it in!), but the LCD was only designed to be used with
the IIc.
