Hi Drew,
You need to install "Moreinfo" (a shareware init/finder extra by Bill
Tudor, available from various places online including the link to
Alex's great site at the start of this thread) and reboot.
Now select your system folder and hold down shift while choosing "icon
info..." from the "special" menu, and you will be presented with the
Moreinfo window. Here you can change the last digit of the auxtype to
2, click "change" and then click "done". From now on you should never
be cursed with an unblessed system folder again.
