The Apple IIGS has a UNIX type operating system already
called GNO/ME.  Check out comp.sys.apple2.gno or
check DejaNews to find that's newsgroup's FAQ.  It is
posted once a month.

GNO/ME allows cool stuff like a UNIX style shell with
familiar commands and pre-emptive multitasking (such
as downloading a file with rz while word processing or
compiling a program).
