The RamKeeper is hard to define, instead it's easier to list what it does. You can attach
up to two memory cards to the RamKeeper and use them as one card. Part of the memory
can be partitioned off and used as a ROM disk. It came with a small transformer that would
power the ROM disk while the computer was shut down thus allowing you to boot from the
ROM disk.. It also came with a backup battery that would keep the card powered in case of
power failure.
Which memory cards you can use depends on whether you have the slot mover. If not you're
restricted to AE cards on the front. Quite a variety of cards will work in it.
With it installed when you turn on your IIgs you'll find you have a new classic desk accessory.
This'll let you setup ROM disk size, test the memory, etc. When you start up there'll be a CDA
in the ROM disk that should be copied to your Desk Accessories folder.
I've yet to see one that'll work in a ROM 3.
The manual's over 50 pages but I think the DAs fairly easy to figure out.
About the only thing on the disk that might be useful is the disk caching software and I have
doubts about that.
This is off the top of my head but if you need more info I can look it up., I have two diferent
versions of the card here and 3 versions of the manual.
