NO, NO, NO!!
With those HP DeskJets and LaserJets that sport both a parallel and
serial port, an Apple IIGS user should only use the parallel port.
A Parallel connection is (approx) 4 times faster than a serial
connection.
With a parallel connection, printing a single page with just text from
the AppleWorks GS word processing module, it takes about 1 minute and 15
seconds from the time you press Print until the completed page comes of
out the printer. With a serial connection, that exact same page will
take nearly 5 minutes to print.

Correct. Harmonie supports PCL Level 3. PCL is backwards compatible, so
any HP printer that supports PCL will work with the IIGS.
