No Slot Clock - Damaged?
Curious, for any of you who have a Dallas Smartwatch installed -> how long
have you had it working? I bought mine a few weeks ago, installed it a week
or so ago, installed the software a few days ago, and everything was find
and dandy. However, yesterday, after installing Prosel8 4.0 on one of my
3.5" disks, I booted my Apple IIc+ with the Copy II+ on S5,D1 and I got a
message that the No Slot clock was not installed. In other words, the NSC
software loaded on the Copy II+ disk wasn't recognizing the chip anymore.
When I tried to change the time with the NSC software, I got an error
stating that the "No Slot Clock is not installed or the TIME IS FAULTY"
I checked the ProSel8 4.0 disk and found a different type of "clock"
software. Maybe ProSel8 4.0 may have tried to install a different type of
clock software. Do you think that this software may have corrupted any
stored data on the chip thus making it unrecognizable? If so, how do I get
it back in working condition. Any help would be appreciated!!!!
I spent 2 months figuring out how to get a clock chip on my Apple, buying
the chip, finding the software, and getting it working -> I've only seen it
working for 3 days - bummer!!!
