I would be cautious about recommending AppleWorksGS to anyone because
the only format that can be recovered if something goes wrong is the
Word Processing one. No one knows the file format for the Database,
Spreadsheet, Graphics, Page Layout or Communication files. If
something goes wrong and you don't have a backup that didn't get
corrupted by the same problem as your original, you end up losing all
the data in that file.
Most people who use AppleWorksGS usually do most, if not all, their
data entry and editting in AppleWorks Classic and import that data
into AppleWorksGS for page layout and/or printing. Not only are the
file formats for AppleWorks Classic readily available but the program
is much more stable (meaning less to no problems with corrupted files)
and faster for doing data entry and editting.
