Re: No-Slot Clock & Apple IIc+

David said it all. Nothing more to add.

HOWEVER on a related topic, for you IIc devotees out there, I heartily
recommend the IIC PLUS! I have ten IIc's and four IIc Pluses. The bulk
of my writing is now on the IIc Plus.

PLUS: Its keyboard kayout is identical to IIgs. Its accelerated. It has
internal power supply and internal platinum 3.5 800K drive. Also, the
last two "Pluses" I bought were $20 and $25 respectively for the CPU!

I like to write and backup on both side disks --- 5.25 and 3.5. This way,
if either drive falters, the other one is okay.

One of my IIC Pluses cost just $7.00 at a Goodwill store. The 3.5
internal drive was jammed so I merely opened it and swapped a working 3.5
drive! And its the common grey Plat 3.5 drive, not the rare white
unidisk 3.5 drive.

Regards, Steve Buggie

: The latter is the CPU, not a ROM. "65C02" is the name of the processor
: used in the Apple IIc family and also in the enhanced IIe. It is a
: slightly improved version of the 6502 which was used in the original
: Apple ][, ][+ and unenhanced IIe.

: There is only one ROM in the IIc+: it is probably 32KB in capacity, like
: the UniDisk revision of the IIc and later IIc models, hence it would be
: a 28 pin chip.

: Assuming the SmartWatch works in the IIc+ (and I don't know of any
: reason why it wouldn't), you need to put it under the chip labelled
: "Monitor ROM". Make sure you get it around the right way!

: One other point: I hope you got the right variety of the SmartWatch.
: The part number should be DS1216E. The letter suffix indicates the type
: of chip which the SmartWatch works under, with "E" being a 28-pin ROM.
: The suffix should be printed in the form of a large green letter (silk
: screened) on the small circuit board which is visible beside the DS1216
: chip inside the SmartWatch.
