Another issue with drives I've had is the lube on the rail the head rides on can dry up, causing it to stick. Cleaning up this rail and putting more lubricant on it should restore its ability to move smoothly (or at all). I've a drive in a TRS-80 4P that has this issue, I just hate the idea of pulling the case apart. Ben
