     As any user of some modern PC keyboards can confirm, having the Control
keys in the wrong place is definitely something to avoid.

     A connection may have been established via deposit of dissolved material.
One try is to center upon the IC's (since this is where a fake trace might have
the greatest impact).  Use water to clean traces at IC pins. Blot dry and follow
with dabbing using alcohol. Blot this dry and wait a while; then, try out the
KB.
