One of Many to be tricked...Thanks G4!!!!

Below is an actual complaint I sent into Apple.  I have not heard from them
as of yet, but as I now know what Think Different really means, I am most
positive what their answer will be.....



"Upon ordering my PowerMac G3, just over a month ago, I had asked the
agent(ClubMAC) when the G4 processor PowerMacs would be available.  I was
told, as well as another friend of mine that FEB 2000 was the ETA. This is
what they are still claiming that Apple had told them as of yesterday. Not
being able to wait an additional 6-8 months to purchase my first Macintosh
to replace my old WINTEL machine.(still can't believe it) I ordered the
PowerMac G3, unfortunately, only to find out that 3 weeks later the G4 that
I originally, and still want is now available on the market, for the same
price with 2-3X more items!!  This was definitely not what I expected from
Apple.  I had been convinced that only the WINTEL companies, that I had
grown to love/hate for the past ten years were only capable of pulling
surprise tactics to reduce inventory of old stock.

Now I truly understand that 'Think Different' is a metaphor for "Buyer
Beware, no matter what the company"  All I ask is for the opportunity for
recent G3 purchasers get a fair deal out of this."



I had also spoke to a representative from Apple today, who outstandingly
kind enough to tell me that there is nothing they or I could do.  The
individual was even kind enough to tell me that even a call from a 10 year
old child who had saved all of their money for the past 2 years to buy a new
Mac wouldn't be able to get retribution for buying a G3 TWO days before the
release of the G4!!  WOW!!!  Send us your poor, hungry, weak, and now dumb
and gullible.

Although I have to say, Apple was kind enough to extend my current system's
warranty an additional 90 Days.  Gee thanks!!  Now I'm really glad to have
spent $2400.00, 3 1/2 weeks ago just for the CPU.  I hope I didn't
financially put them out..............
