Thanks to you and Phil for the information.
Emails to those whose service name is being forged (e.g. AOL and Yahoo) may
help; but, now that things have been explained, I can see that it is an indirect
approach.
An abuse email to a service whose name is given in a "respond to" address
might hit a bit closer to home if the address is for the one who purchased the
advertising.
What about an abuse email to your news server? Evidently, the server admin is
where this kind of spam usually gets snipped.
