Okay, the bank of dipswitches in the back is for using different RGB
monitors on the ACE 500. (Cool feature that I've never had to use.)

Doesn't say anything about switch 1. Switch 2 is for the polarity for
the horizontal synchronization signal for an IBM monitor. Down is
negative, up is positive. Switch 3 is for the polarity of the VErtical
Synch signal, up is positive, down negative. Switch 4 is for the color
palette, down is IBM, up is Apple. Switch 5 is for the monochrome Double
 High Resolution. Down selects the monochrome display when using double
high res. Switch 6 is for the automatic line feed for the printer. Up
sends and automatic line feed signal, down doesn't.

No problem. Except for not being 100% Apple compatable, the ACE 500 is a
really cool machine. I got mine refurbished from Damark over 10 years
ago, and for several years, it was my main computer.
