More likely, there's something about people reading alt.folklore.computers...
For instance, the chances are:
1.  Most of us use computers.
2.  Most of us like computers.

If we didn't like 'em, we wouldn't care about folklore.  If we didn't use 'em,
we wouldn't know about them at all.
