Ok, can I go back to where people are sane?

I went over to my younger brothers house the other day. He
had his 1 year old microwave sitting in the garage, ready for
the dump. I opened it up, figured out the latch on the door
had broken and was not pressing the safety switch. I glued
the latch together with some epoxy, reinforced with steel, and
it works great. $150 microwave going to the dump and i saved
it...
Then he had me open up his DVD player with 5 disc changer.
His 2 year old stuck too many popsicle sticks in it. $300 unit
with speaker setup. Inside I found that some levers had come
out of their guides. After about 1 hour of playing with it, it
started
accepting DVDS and playing them! I saved yet another from
the dump. (oh yeah and he gave me $60 :-)
I would love to park a trailer at the dump with a sign "put your
appliances, bicycles, engines, computers, tools in HERE, not
the dump"
