Yes, your 1984 version of PFS:Write was most likely Pascal-based.  Most
of the versions of PFS:Write were.  In fact, the Pascal used was
actually based on UCSD's own p-System...  :-)

The easiest way to tell if your version of PFS:Write is pascal-based is
to try to look at your Data disk using PRO-DOS.  If you can read files
in it, then it's a newer PRO-DOS based version of PFS:Write.  However,
if you get a read error, then it's using the Pascal File System.  You
can verify *that* if you have a copy of Apple Pascal lying around.  My
(vague) recollection (it's been 13 years) was that the data disks were
actually written in the Apple Pascal disk directory format.
