You format it from the disk utilies menu, just like a floppy.
You can't put SOS on it (well, you can copy the files, but it won't do any
good). The ProFile isn't bootable, you have to boot from a properly
configured floppy in drive 1.
To run programs from the ProFile, you need a floppy with a program selector
program, like Quark. You boot this floppy, then select programs that have
been installed on the ProFile (the messiest system ever conceived).
