Don't forget that "the DOS" could be ProDOS.  If so, the
CATALOG command would produce kind of a jumbled
directory.

If so, then the user is under ProDOS.  To make the
ProDOS catalog look right, first type this command
and press return:

PR#3

Then type the command you provided:

CATALOG,D2
