An External SCSI CD-ROM and an Apple II SCSI Card.
Alltech Electronics (1-760-724-2404) had, just last week, some 4x SCSI
CD-ROM players available for only $19. Even if they are out of those,
they'll probably have others, and when you call you can safely tell the
salesperson that you want to connect it to an Apple IIGS.
As far as SCSI cards, there's the RamFAST from Sequential Systems, and
several models that were produced by Apple. I don't know about the original
Apple brand SCSI card, but I've used both a Rev C and the High Speed SCSI
card on a IIGS with a CD-ROM player.
Once you have the hardware, check out the Shareware Solutions II web site
for info on ordering some low cost Apple IIGS CD-ROM disks...
