Re: Potentially stupid question about AC
...not that I'm trying to get this thread back on topic (Everyone is having
too much fun. Gee, this is nice for a change!), but what programs do you plan
to run on the Apple II in the car's dashboard anyway?
I've thought about how nice it would be to have an Apple II in the car. I
could transfer some of my street maps to Tutor-Tech stacks and keep myself from
getting lost quite so often. But what else? It would be tempting to play
games or write letters like those other idiots on the road, but I like avoiding
them, not becoming another road statistic.
BTW, instead of giving up the glove compartment (does anybody actually have
gloves in it anyway), why not place the IIgs under the front passanger's seat?

>Well depending on how good you are at fabricating things, you could get a
small CRT and make a cover for it so it's not so obvious. But in anycase there
isn't always alot of room to work with in dashboards because they have ducting
and wiring as well as support brackets to deal with. You can probably get away
with eliminating your glove box but there won't usually be enough room with
a dash to add much else, exept perhaps the pillar where a stereo/climate
controls
would be.
