One particular Forth book that needs mentioning is "Forth language and
it's implementations", although it's Russian and I don't know if it
ever was translated.

You can read it with a browser set to Cyrillic/Russian (CP-866)
encoding ... if you can handle Russian. I believe scanned PDFs are
also available.

Whether it was compiled from various sources or written from scratch -
I don't know, but it's still my favorite Forth book.
