Re: Marinetti Telnet Problem...
I already have Spectrum 2.1 and have connected to my shell account and
used SIS. As with my Atari ST effort to set up a PPP/telnet/browser
client that will run off 720k floppy disks and a plain 1 mb
(non-expandable) Atari 1040 STf, I wanted to see if I could get telnet
working with Marinetti and vt100 and run everything from an 800k floppy on
a GS without a harddrive. If successful, I would post instructions for
anyone with an unenhanced GS and no HD who would still be able to get onto
the Internet via PPP and telnet. My effort for the ST group was much
appreciated as it gave a lot of ST users with bottom of the line units a
chance to get onto the Internet. Those instructions are at:

I am trying to do the same for the IIGS. Spectrum is great if
you have a hard drive and space; for a plain GS with just disk drives,
Marinetti and its telnet may be the only salvation for Internet access.
