The last revision of AppleWorks GS was version 1.1, which
runs under GS/OS instead of ProDOS 16 (which 1.0 ran under).
Bunch of bugs were also crushed.

http://www.allelec.com/ Alltech Electronics sells it for $10.

To get the most out of AWGS, you'll want TrueType fonts
and output to an ink jet or laser printer.
http://www.crl.com/~joko Shareware Solutions II carries
Pointless, a IIGS control panel that allows you to use
TrueType fonts on a IIGS. Harmonie is a set of printer
drivers for ink jet and laser printers such as DeskJet,
DeskWriter, BubbleJet, Stylus, StyleWriter, and LaserJet.
Put it this way, the combined cost of buying BOTH
packages is less than half of what you usually pay for a
typical PC or Mac commercial game.

Using TrueType fonts and printing to a high resolution
(300dpi or greater) printer, AWGS produces results as
good as any printout from a PC word processor using the
same fonts! Pretty impressive.

I still use my IIGS for some wp and page layout tasks
even though I also have and use a PC.
