That's the sanest thing I've read in this whole thread.  What I really take
offense to is the notion that all of csa2 is a sewer to those who hide
out on Delphi.  I mean, most of us rarely ever read or participate in these
idiotic flame threads whoever started it.  I know that I ignore them as
best I can.  Yet to the Delphi folks, I'm nothing but one of the enemy
just because I hang out on csa2.  Or at least it seems that way when
one of them comes into csa2 and labels the entire newsgroup with a
broad brush.

That's pretty crazy.  Csa2 is an untapped market of customers for the
products of developers.  I even do my best to direct new users to the
sources.  I know for a fact that Alltech sold quite a few Focus drives
to new IIGS users after I informed them that such drives were available
for the IIGS.  It is safe to say that if csa2 did not exist, they would
never have encountered such information and without such information
would never have bought the Focus.  Delphi is not the first place you
think about when looking up info on the internet.  I mean, csa2 posts
go on AltaVista and DejaNews...SEARCH ENGINES!  Delphi posts
do not show up there.

And I do appreciate when developers show up on csa2.  As Peter
Watson will attest, I found out about MUG! on csa2, used it, still
use it, sent in my shareware fee, and now both a developer (him) and
a user (me) are happy.  So much for the evil csa2.

It is true that there are those on csa2 that stir up trouble, but most of
us really make use of this place.  I think the developers from Delphi
should come out here in numbers and interact with us users much
the way it is in, for example, the Commodore usenet groups.  If people
want to stir up trouble, ignore them.  Ignoring those who want to stir
things up usually deflates them.  ;-)
