Before scores of people start saying a Mac or IIGS added a resource
fork to the ARCHIVE, let's analyze this error.
IF the resource fork were on the ARCHIVE, then yes a Mac probably
put it there. However, this would generate an *I/O ERROR* and NOT
a "can't extract file with resource fork" error. The ONLY time you
get this error with ShrinkIt v3.4 is if you try to extract a IIGS file that's
been archived with GS ShrinkIt which contains a resource fork. In
that case, the fork would be WITHIN the archive in one of the archived
files.
You CANNOT use ProTYPE or Unforkit or whatever to cut off this
resource fork. Besides, since the file is a IIGS program or data file
that NEEDS this resource fork, removing it will render the file useless.
Thus, the ONLY answer to the above question:
That file was NOT meant for a IIe or ShrinkIt v3.4. It was meant for
a IIGS. You need GS ShrinkIt (preferably version 1.1) to unshrink it.
