Okay...
Spent $5 for a dead Quantum scsi hard drive...on a hunch...a gut feeling...
took the terminators off the dead hd, and installed on the Quantum 240.
Everything seemed to work! Two 32 meg partitions...no instances of
multiples...
HOWEVER, once i shut everything off, installed the scsi id selector and set
it to 3, rebooted and bingo...multiple drives again!
Removed the scsi selector, and just left the id at 0, (no jumpers) and it
SEEMS to be working!
Odd though, the problem reocurrs when I add the scsi ID selector...
