The last Apple I was sold for $18,000 I think (someone will correct me if
I'm wrong here).  Having just had a small run of my own Apple II peripheral
cards made up ( http://www.cgocable.net/~apple2/romdrive.html ), I would
think that a small run of Apple I motherboards would run you $100 ~ $150
each plus parts and labour.  Say that it roughly costs $300 each to make 10
of them.  That's like one sixtieth the price of a real Apple I.  I may be
off a bit, but building a replica would only be in the hundreds, not
thousands.  I would love to draw up the board myself but I'm just too busy
right now.  Perhaps another hobbyist would take on this project.

Notice the shameless plug in the middle of that last paragraph?  Sorry.
