The converted disk ][ definitely _doesn't_ work: the port on the card
_isn't_ equivalent to a GS smartport. I believe that the card (or the Mac)
doesn't supply one of the necessary voltages (-12V?) that the Disk ][
needs. Also, the manual says only the platinum 5.25 and the UniDisk 3.5
will work as external drives, although I've tried connecting a beige 5.25
and a //c external 5.25 and both work fine. Never tried an Apple platinum
3.5 nor an external superdrive and there's little need to, because the card
uses the Mac's internal superdrive as slot 5 drive 1.
Now a quibble: surely it's wrong to describe this card as an 'emulator'? It
puts an (almost) real IIe inside your LC-PDS series Mac. That isn't
'emulation'?
