As long as you use the utility package you should have no problems.
I've only done a few tests with Linux/Midnite commander. I copied
a few subdirectory files from an HFS cd-rom to an HFS partition
and everything seemed normal. The archives opened fine with GS
Shrinkit and Balloon. In fact I was viewing some of the text this
morning with KEGS. since the Apple 2 has different line feeds than
Linux the files view differently, so I just use the emulator for this.
