Hello.  Do you have an older (14.4k) external modem you can use for the
IIGS?  If so, hop down to a Mac store and get a Mac modem cable.  This
will link the 14.4k modem to the IIGS (IIGS can use faster modems too,
but 14.4k is fine).

Next, move the IIGS to another location.  Set up your PC to answer the
phone using the HyperTerminal program included with Windows 95/98.
Call the PC on your IIGS (using AWGS or another terminal program).
Transfer your files using xmodem, ymodem, or zmodem.

AWGS has a rudimentary terminal program (xmodem, I think), which is
fine for this type of transfer.  The IIGS has better (zmodem capable)
ones, but for a one time transfer, xmodem would do.

You might be able to do the transfer without actual modems, but that's
more tricky.  Read the info at the AOL Apple II Forum using the following
keyword:

above keyword.  AOL 3 and before, keyword command is under the
