Hmmmm. You know, I was sort of afraid of that sort of thing. Well, I don't
want to break the law, or lose respect in others' eyes. It's just that so
many people last time said go ahead and do it, but I feel that they may
have been biased either because they wanted the software for themselves or
their collection...and I'm not one to jump because everyone else does, so
I figured I'd try to get a diverse view of things.

Heh. Better than a 'send it to me right away' or 'you dirty pirate scum'
email by a long shot...

Well, I always thought it was cool cause it's one of the few GUIs for the
8-bit Apple II, and it has those integrated programs...but, yeah, I
suppose it's still well under copyright law, I know over in the C64 world
they eagerly flay alive any of those who are caught trafficking in images
of GEOS...and while I will occasionally download the odd program to try it
out, I don't really believe in the rationalization of abandonware as it's
become...I've actually seen people call something 6 years out of
publishing abandonware, which is kind of obnoxious if you think about it.
As an aside, it has been mentioned to me that Berkeley Softworks pretty
much abandoned the Apple II software, and 'wouldn't really care' about it
being distributed, almost to the point of them practically giving
permission...But, I suppose, I shall wait until some proof is presented to
me...I wonder if the company of today has some form of contacting them...?
Ah well...perhaps I shall hold up for a bit, it's just as well, there's
still a few things to mess with to get it properly the way I want it, and
waiting always makes one more eager for the result, eh? Now, to deal with
the disappointed masses of emails...well, all 3 of them.
Thanks...I like getting an opinion well in the middle without being either
extreme...much more informative in the long run than either alternative.
