Two minute IIe intros should last about 45 seconds on a normal IIGS.
Your IIGS might have an accelerator card installed.  With the right
accelerator and accelerator settings, that intro might go by in less
than 5 seconds!

No matter.  With or without an accelerator, the IIGS will run IIe
software faster.  To turn it back to IIe speed (with or without an
accelerator), press Command-Control-Esc and set the "Speed"
control panel to "Normal" instead of "Fast."

Remember to set it back before running native IIGS stuff or else
everything will seem like it is going in slow motion.  (BE SURE
to turn it back to "Fast" before running the IIGS disks I'm sending
you in the mail or else things won't work right.)
