You have to set the CD filesystem type to AUTO in the fstab file. I also
had to compile the kernel with mac support to be able to read the HFS cd.
Redhat 6.0 as shipped doesn't support the HFS format until you re-compile
the kernel. I suggest this anyway, as I had some problems with the generic
kernel shipped on the cd. And I wanted pentium support.

The X windows - Gnome interface is cool! Very configurable. I like the
K desktop they ship also. It is actually easier for the average user than
Gnome but Gnome is the interface most developers are supporting.

I got into Linux a few years ago but I was still actively working with
MS Windows systems and couldn't spend much time on it. In the last
6 months I've been working with it a lot trying to teach myself more
about *nix systems but I use it mainly cause I like the KEGS IIgs
emulator.
