You obviously don't work in the field, son. The vast majority of Windows based
enterprise development is done in visual basic. Just open up your classifieds
section in your local metro newspaper and look at "jobs offered". Just about
every windoze developer position requires 2-3 years *minimum* of visual basic
4/5/6...

... interesting... i used to use navigator all the time.. crashed left and
right... switched to IE, use it all the time... hardly ever crashes... hmmmm

Actually, yes I am in the "programming" field. My official title here is
"Senior Programmer/Analyst"...... and no, I am NOT a CIS major. I *was* a CS
major, but I dropped out of college after about 2 years, and got a job as a
programmer... never looked back.

BTW: I have known a TON of computer science professors over the years, and I
can count on ONE hand the number of them that were competent enough to work in
the "real world". Academia isn't what makes the IT industry go round :)

Is it really? Last time I checked, code warrior was an IDE for a multitude of
compilers and languages.

So, the feeling is mutual. :)
