Actually, in Microsoft's defense - I have YET to see them FORCE anyone to
upgrade....
WindowsNT3.51 has Y2k patches. that were free, NT4, same deal, win95, same
deal, win98 came y2k, but fixes have been applied that are free... Office
products - y2k patches.. free...
Forcing someone to upgrade would be not supplying y2k upgrades for free...
adding additional functions to the software is NOT FORCING someone to
upgrade, its asking for money to continue improvements... I have yet to
see MS force anyone to upgrade.... they may release new versions with more
features.. and if you desire the new features you should pay... but you
can still use your office 4.2 all you want...
