I've just finished my talks by telcon with the powers-that-be at SoftDisk and
they are still reviewing the legal status of allowing their release as
unsupported freeware, in ShrinkIt disk archive format from our Ground Apple2
ftp site.  

Until I receive their email reply with confirmation and approval to go ahead
with making them available as legal freeware archives without support from
SoftDisk, there's really nothing more I can offer to help with this project
now.

Perhaps, if others within the Apple II community contacted the person I spoke
with by email at: 

al@softdisk.com 

and express your desires and hopes that they can see their way fit to allow
them to be released for public access in this unsupported freeware
reclassification status - it would expedite their reaching a final and
favorable decision towards this objective.

Let's hope they do reach a positive decision on allowing them to be made
available in a legal manner as freeware.  But, if they don't - then that's that
and we did our best with it.
