This is probably due to the fact that Apple never considred Commodore as a
competitor.  As an Apple ][ user, neither did I.  Freinds had Commodores,
but they were bland in comparison to my //c.

When Jobs was in control the first time, he only considred IBM as a
competitor.  If he had only realized that Microsoft was the one they needed
to worry about.
