As I said before, the $1 difference is not an issue and isn't part of the case.
It would have been a $.25, $.50, or $1 difference no matter what the second
bidder bid. $1 is ebay's automatic increment at the $75 level when a bid is
bumped. If the second bidder had bid $70, it would have been bumped to $71.
Neither bidder has any control over this.
While the second bidder has no obligation to answer you, if would be
interesting to hear his/her story. Yesterday I saw my college yearbook go for a
very high price because a future NBA player was in our class. I'm tempted to
contact the second high bidder, too. And of course, I also got my DOS 3.3.
disks out. ;-)
It would be good if Joe or MikeW would regularly sell "Apple II System
Software" on ebay. This would stop some of the price wars and let the new users
get the official, latest version.
