No, they are different. The IIGS version sits on top of the CPU, the IIe
hooks on the side. We had a buche of extra IIe versions, so we drilled &
hooked em on the IIGS. Not sure what cooling they do, but at least they
save us an outlet, as the monitor plugs into the saver.
